Herman Dates emigrated from the Netherlands to Argentina around 1884. In association with his father-in-law Pieter Jacobus Dirks, who was Nautical Engineer and son of the renowned Justus Dirks, Herman built up a business in Buenos-Aires called "Studio Dates-Dirks". This was dissolved at the start of the second World War. Herman's last project was the "Club Nautico" in Buenos Aires (San Isidro) of which he was vice-President for over 20 years. |
